Expertise

Clinical education

My work has involved the design, development and delivery of clinical education programmes for the past 15 years. My experience spans a range of practical settings with a focus on emergency response, pre-hospital care and resuscitation. I employ and promote context-driven delivery to support the attainment of appreciable outcomes in practice.

Systems thinking

I have a special interest in cognitive performance, bias mitigation and the optimisation of complex systems, with worked experience amongst safety-critical projects and process development. My vocational training is grounded in national safety and systems-engineering healthcare initiatives.

Crisis ergonomics

Time-critical, high-stakes situations call for ergonomic procedural design; this involves minimising complexity alongside implementing safeguards to support safe practice in stressful environments. I have experience of building these concepts into clinical workflows and projects, particularly in the pre-hospital setting.
